Uncertainty abounds. But your body that houses that sweet soul of yours will always need exercise. That is a constant. I’ve been holding tight to things that I know will always be true, and that is one of them. Also, all of my closets are spotless as my nervous energy straight-lines into cleaning something.
Body-weight exercises are among my favorite things. If your gym is closed, try this circuit to get your heart pumping and those endorphins rolling to find some happy. Before you get started, do a warm up jog for some vitamin D (sunshine) and pump up your jams. Lithium on SiriusXM is my current favorite.
- Jumping Jacks
- Push ups
- Reverse Lunges on Left Leg
- Reverse Lunges on Right Leg
- Sit ups (variation of your choice)
- Squats again (duh, this time find something heavy to hold, like your dog or your kid)
- Sprint your stairs (no skipping steps, keep your feet light and fast)
30 seconds of each exercise, repeat as many times as needed for the oxygen to pump, the lactic acid to build and the carnal survival mechanism to initiate…and then, BOOM, endorphins=happy! (4 times through, minimum, guys, followed by another Vitamin-D cool down)
