NASM-Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist

My job as a personal trainer is to safely and effectively guide you to whatever your personal fitness goals are. As you grow stronger from the inside out, that very strength will trickle into every other aspect of your life, including handling stress with less effort and wear on your body, better sleep, stronger emotional capacity to navigate trials and tribulations, and confidence in your own skin. Physical health and a strong, functional body are just the beginning of limitless possibilities!

Personal Trainer & Corrective Exercise Specialist

  • I have a passion for fitness and helping others, which inspired me to be a personal trainer.
  • That passion is apparently stronger than my introverted tendencies.
  • I have completed two marathons.
  • I’m a mom of two boys and have six brothers (and no sisters).
  • I love my dog, who is also a boy.
  • I have a weak spot for chocolate covered gummy bears.
  • I aspire to play long after my hair turns gray!

Corrective Exercise Specialization, NASM.

I am able to identify muscle imbalances and movement deficiencies, after which I implement an integrated corrective strategy. This plan will include exercise techniques designed to reduce current pain and/or strengthen generally unconditioned systems that cause incorrect movements. Ultimately, you will be less likely to have injury in the future, and you will be stronger.

“Honestly, when it comes down to it, I would really just love to meet you and hear your story.”

The Story of a Balloon

When I was little and learning to pray, I liked to put all of my requests, battles, petitions and thoughts of gratitude into a basket. Then I would tie on a ribbon attached to a balloon and watch it float up to the Heavens. Today, as I still come face to face with battles, I remain constant in my filling baskets.

Fitness became a life-line for me very quickly, when I realized how much it aided in lessening daily anxieties with motherhood stressors, social phobias and shyness. At each training session with my own trainer, Chad Austin of Priority Fitness, I found myself able to leave everything at the front door, answer only to myself, and simply beat sets. The peace that came from the physical win (and even a loss every now and then) transferred to mental and emotional strength beyond what I had ever known before. When I feel like I want to quit, I can fill my baskets right in the middle of a set, then win, making the suffering I endure that much more powerful. Full body connection from inside to outside.

Here’s what I know to be true: Our bodies are built so intricately and powerfully beyond our comprehension. They are meant to run efficiently, effectively and with joy. And we are given daily opportunities to encourage and inspire each other. Why not find out how strong you are? Why not chase after your possibilities, dreams, goals and wonders? And when you succeed, because you got this, go show somebody else and tell them they can do it, too. I’m convinced we are capable of so much more than we believe of ourselves. Come find your strength. You were built to elevate.

The Studio.

Priority Fitness is a private studio designed to maximize the personal training experience. The facility is home to several other personal training businesses that operate alongside Elevate Fitness. Think of it like a Plexpod or a WeWork for fitness professionals. The big sign outside will say Priority Fitness, but you’ll find the Elevate Fitness logo on the window.

When you train here, you won’t be surrounded by a commercial gym full of intimidating people and constant classes. It’s meant for personal and small group training. It’s comfortable, and it has all the equipment we need to help you achieve your goals. Feel free to come check it out, anytime!
