Smart Nutrition Choices Before Parties Will Help You Avoid Overindulging

Heads up for Super Bowl parties! Whether you are going to one or hosting it yourself, don’t let all the hard work you put in this week go to waste as far as nutrition choices. Here are a few tips and tricks to ensure success from my nutrition coach, Abigail O’Hara, who is certified through Precision Nutrition.
- Eat at least 25-30 grams of protein 20-30 minutes before you leave. This will help ensure satiety and if you’re full, you’ll be able to make better decisions in choosing how to fill your plate.
- Veggies with guacamole, meatballs as long as they’re made with low sugar sauces (Aldi has a great one), meat and cheese trays in moderation, clear liquors over beer (as long as the mixer choice isn’t full of sugar and calories) and mixed nuts are all great options.
- Bring a healthy dish to share to ensure you have at least one smart choice to keep yourself in control.
How ’bout those Chiefs?!
