About Jesse Kepka.

Owner, Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Nutrition Coach

Jesse Kepka has spent years helping people in the Kansas City area discover what they’re actually capable of. She works with beginners who’ve never set foot in a gym, seasoned athletes looking to push further, people rebuilding after injury, and everyone in between. What they all have in common is that they found a trainer who took their goals seriously and never let them settle for less than their best.

She founded Elevate Fitness because she believed personal training deserved a better home. Not a big commercial gym where clients get lost in the crowd. Not a sterile private studio that feels cold and transactional. Something warmer, more intentional, and more human.

What She Brings to Every Session

NASM Certified Personal Trainer
The gold standard in personal training certification, built on evidence-based methods for safe, effective programming.

Corrective Exercise Specialist
Jesse is trained to identify muscle imbalances and movement deficiencies and design programs that address the root cause, not just the symptoms. Less pain, fewer injuries, stronger movement patterns for life.

Certified Nutrition Coach
Fitness doesn’t stop when the session ends. Jesse helps clients understand how nutrition supports their goals, without rigid rules or unrealistic expectations.

Co-Author, Make Fitness a Priority
Jesse co-authored a book with mentor and fellow trainer Chad Austin as part of his award-winning Make Fitness a Priority series.

A Little More About Jesse

She’s an introvert who somehow found her calling helping people. She’s completed two marathons. She’s a mom of two boys with six brothers and no sisters, and she will never turn down a Nerds Cluster. She trains hard, coaches with patience, and genuinely celebrates every win her clients earn, no matter how small it looks from the outside.

Working out with Jesse is one of the highlights of my week, our session is the best way to start off my week!  She challenges me and pushes me every single session to reach a new level that I didn’t know was possible! She doesn’t only care about your appointments, but she cares about your goals and your desire to better yourself; she does whatever possible to help you accomplish them!

I feel strong. She is the cure for my Monday morning hangovers… I feel safe; I don’t have to worry about little silly injuries that were happening at CrossFit.

Jesse is the most compassionate person, who never stops believing in me, even when I’m certain I can’t do it. She pushes me in a way that is perfect for me. If it weren’t for her unwavering belief in my abilities, I might have given up long ago.

If there’s one thing I know about Jesse, she’s the one you want in your corner. She truly derives joy from helping someone else achieve or heal or overcome. Even if it seems like the tiniest baby-step, she’s there celebrating. That’s why I’m keeping her.

Who knew exercise could be so much fun?! Jesse creates a gillion variations that keeps my mind focused on the present challenge. A sharper mind, improved coordination and balance are effects that I never expected. The strength and wholeness I feel at the end of a workout feel so wonderful!”

The Story of a Balloon

When I was little and learning to pray, I liked to put all of my requests, battles, petitions and thoughts of gratitude into a basket. Then I would tie on a ribbon attached to a balloon and watch it float up to the Heavens. Today, as I still come face to face with battles, I remain constant in my filling baskets.

Fitness became a life-line for me very quickly, when I realized how much it aided in lessening daily anxieties with motherhood stressors, social phobias and shyness. At each training session with my own trainer, Chad Austin of Priority Fitness, I found myself able to leave everything at the front door, answer only to myself, and simply beat sets. The peace that came from the physical win (and even a loss every now and then) transferred to mental and emotional strength beyond what I had ever known before. When I feel like I want to quit, I can fill my baskets right in the middle of a set, then win, making the suffering I endure that much more powerful. Full body connection from inside to outside.

Here’s what I know to be true: Our bodies are built so intricately and powerfully beyond our comprehension. They are meant to run efficiently, effectively and with joy. And we are given daily opportunities to encourage and inspire each other. Why not find out how strong you are? Why not chase after your possibilities, dreams, goals and wonders? And when you succeed, because you got this, go show somebody else and tell them they can do it, too. I’m convinced we are capable of so much more than we believe of ourselves. Come find your strength. You were built to elevate.
